We are looking to add shield striking to the KBA rule book, so it will be getting tested out this coming season, and during fighters practices this off-season. How it will work:

First off, the shield needs to have at least 2 inches of padding on the edges, just like a weapon thrust tip, or be made entirely of foam (excluding handles). You can only use the edge to strike for a damaging shot. Otherwise the normal rules apply. This applies to madu baskets over 12 inches, light shields and heavy shields, but not bucklers. No Captain America, so please don't throw them. Yes, you can duel wield shields during testing. This will remain in the testing phase until the 2020.2 patch release mid way through the upcoming season, and has been apart of Marysville's rule set for some time. What do you think about the idea?
Clarification: shield bashing and shield checking are bot not currently allowed?
I'm excited for all of the new things people have been asking to try! Just remember, shield-striking is NOT shield-bashing!
